Vader Abt's Bier (1976)
Vader Abt's Bier (1976) is a Belgian Strong Dark Ale from Brouwerij Hoegaarden. This beer, though no longer in production, is known for its complex and balanced flavor profile. It features sweet ripe fruits, rich caramel malts, earthy hops, and gentle spices, culminating in a full, round, and somewhat soft mouthfeel. The beer finishes with a lingering prickly bitterness and a hint of alcohol warmth. Brouwerij Hoegaarden has a long history, with its origins tracing back to monks in the 15th century who pioneered the use of orange peel and coriander in wheat beers. The brewery was revived in 1965 by Pierre Celis after the last local brewery closed in 1957
Calorie counts are based on a 12-ounce serving unless the manufacturer specifies otherwise.
