Scope and age requirement

This Privacy Policy explains how bevQ.social (“bevQ.social,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our website, applications, member features, venue profiles, and related services (the “Service”).

The Service is intended only for adults age 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21. If you believe an underage person has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it where appropriate.

02

Information we collect

Depending on the features you use, we may collect:

  • Account and profile information: name, email, password authentication records, date of birth, gender selection, avatar or profile photo, bio, visibility choices, and preferences.
  • Community activity: favorites, watchlists, follows, friend relationships, check-ins, ratings, comments, reactions, reposts, shares, reports, and notification choices.
  • Location information: precise or approximate device location when you grant permission, plus derived distance, nearby-venue, and venue-presence information used for discovery, safety, check-ins, and alerts.
  • Device and usage information: browser and device details, IP address, timestamps, referring pages, feature interactions, diagnostics, security events, and advertising or analytics identifiers where permitted.
  • Connected-service information: provider account identifiers, authorization tokens, permitted public profile and content information, fantasy roster data, and connection status.
  • Venue and organization information: public venue details, menus, branding, links, hours, sports services, and social content supplied through authorized SmartQ accounts.
03

Where information comes from

We receive information from you, your device, people who interact with you, participating venues and SmartQ administrators, connected services you authorize, identity providers, sports and content providers, and service providers that help us operate the platform.

04

How we use information

We use information to:

  • create, verify, secure, and personalize accounts;
  • find venues, drinks, sports events, and “Perfect Pair” matches near the device location you choose to share;
  • provide check-ins, feeds, favorites, watchlists, social connections, comments, sharing, alerts, and customer support;
  • synchronize authorized venue, menu, sports, and social-media content;
  • measure performance, improve recommendations, prevent duplicate or fraudulent activity, and troubleshoot the Service;
  • deliver and measure contextual, venue, or third-party advertising where allowed; and
  • comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
05

Location data and check-ins

Location permission is optional, but nearby discovery and presence-based check-ins may not work without it. We may process a device’s current coordinates to calculate distance, identify venues within a configured radius, and confirm venue presence. A completed check-in can retain the venue, time, companions you selected, and related activity as part of your profile and community history.

You can change location permission in your browser or operating-system settings. Disabling permission stops new location access but does not automatically delete check-ins or other information already saved.

06

TikTok and other connected services

An authorized venue or parent/group administrator may connect a TikTok account through TikTok Login Kit. With the permissions shown during authorization, we may retrieve the connected account’s public profile information and recent public videos, captions, cover images, timestamps, share links, and official embed links. We display this content for the connected venue or group through TikTok’s supported player and links.

Authorization tokens are handled server-side and are not provided to BevQ.social members. The administrator can disconnect the integration to stop future synchronization. TikTok’s own terms and privacy policy govern TikTok’s processing. Other connected providers work similarly according to the permissions you approve.

07

How we disclose information

We may disclose information:

  • To other members and the public when you choose to make a profile, check-in, comment, reaction, repost, or connection visible.
  • To participating venues or groups through aggregated performance and interaction analytics, and when you directly contact, call, reserve, follow, report, or interact with them.
  • To service providers that host data, authenticate users, deliver email, provide maps, monitor reliability, support analytics or advertising, and protect the Service.
  • To connected providers when necessary to complete an action you request or maintain an authorized connection.
  • For legal and safety reasons when we reasonably believe disclosure is required to comply with law, enforce our policies, prevent fraud or abuse, or protect rights and safety.
  • In a business transaction involving a merger, financing, reorganization, or transfer of the Service, subject to appropriate protections.

We do not expose BevQ master-catalog credentials, source records, or unrestricted database payloads to advertisers or public users.

08

Advertising, cookies, and your controls

We may use Google AdSense and other advertising providers to display and measure ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, may place or read cookies, use web beacons, process IP addresses, and use other identifiers as a result of ad serving. Google and its partners may use advertising cookies to select ads based on visits to this Service and other websites, subject to your choices and applicable law.

Learn more about how Google uses information from partner sites. You can manage personalized Google advertising in My Ad Center and opt out of some other participating providers through WebChoices. Where required, we or our consent provider will ask for permission and offer additional privacy choices before eligible advertising technologies are used.

09

Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the Service, maintain account and community history, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and maintain backups. Retention periods vary by data type and purpose.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including authenticated access, server-side credential handling, and access controls. No system can guarantee absolute security, so protect your credentials and report suspected unauthorized access promptly.

10

Your choices and rights

Account settings let you update profile details, control visibility and alerts, manage connections, and disconnect supported services. Browser and device settings control location, cookies, and similar permissions. Email messages include applicable preference or unsubscribe controls, except for essential account and security notices.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection, or to appeal a privacy decision. Follow our account and data deletion instructions or contact us using the address below. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information when required by law or for legitimate security, fraud-prevention, or recordkeeping needs.

11

External links, embeds, and international processing

The Service may open or embed third-party maps, reservation tools, social posts, news, videos, advertisements, and websites. Their privacy practices are separate from ours. We and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries that may have different data-protection laws, using safeguards required by applicable law.

12

Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy as the Service, connected providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised Policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice when appropriate.

For the rules governing use of the Service, review our Terms of Service.
